This is about our family with its roots in Ireland and its branches in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. There are now five generations scattered throughout New England with some family members in California, Florida and God knows where else. Hopefully, this blog might help us understand those who were and who we are now.

Recently discovered genealogical information might give family members a challenge to previously held assumptions of exactly which county in Ireland our Rileys lived in 5 generations ago.

Along with ancestor updates and a broader family tree, I am hoping to extend the scope of the site to include news updates of family members and their comings and goings.

An administrative note: As you read through this site you will probably see dates, or  spellings of a name that are either a bit off or seem not just right. Why is that? Because I am using what is given to me by a census record, a city directory or maybe spelling on the back of a photo.

Pictures, pictures and more pictures. I am looking for and hoping that various family members might have some real old pics in their collections that might be shared here at 19 POND STREET. Anything prior to WWII would be nice. Any photos prior to 1900 would be fantastic!

Administrative note 2: In response to several suggestions, I have decided to expand these periodic posts to include a wider array of informational items and current occasions such as births, weddings etc.
